BASF Launches Eco Resin with 75 Percent Recycled Content at CHINAPLAS 2025

BASF’s Dispersions & Resins division is set to make its debut at CHINAPLAS 2025, one of the largest international exhibitions for plastics and rubber, taking place from April 15 to 18. The spotlight will be on its Acrodur® water-based adhesive platform, designed to enable high-performance, sustainable fiber composites across diverse industries.

The formaldehyde-free Acrodur® resin offers exceptional bonding strength and eco-friendly credentials. It supports applications in automotive semi-structural parts, lightweight furniture panels, and composite core boards, aiming to replace conventional plastic materials with lower-emission alternatives.

Composites using Acrodur® adhesives can incorporate over 75% recycled content, dramatically reducing volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions. This positions it as a cost-effective and sustainable option compared to traditional materials such as PP or ABS plastics—without compromising mechanical strength or durability.

The resin’s ability to bind both natural and synthetic fibers makes it a versatile solution for manufacturers seeking materials that meet strict performance and environmental standards.
