Strategic Value Partners (SVP) and Blantyre Capital Limited (Blantyre) recently announced the acquisition of OQ Chemicals (Oxea), a leading global producer and trader of oxygenated chemicals.

As part of the acquisition, OQ Chemicals will revert to its name Oxea to reaffirm its heritage and long-standing position in the global chemical industry.

Oxea is a leading manufacturer of oxo intermediates and performance chemicals, supplying key raw materials to specialty chemical and additive manufacturers in key markets in the United States and Europe. The company produces high-quality alcohols, polyols, plasticizers, carboxylic acids, specialty esters and amines products that are critical to paints, coatings, plastics, lubricants, pharmaceuticals and other industries. Oxea supports global supply chains and meets the long-term needs of high-growth industries such as construction, automotive and electronics. Oxea's chemicals are sold in more than 60 countries, with major production sites in Germany and Texas ensuring a strong global presence.

HJ Woltery, Co-Head of SVP's European Investment Team, said: "Oxea's leading market position, global reach and innovative capabilities provide a solid foundation for long-term growth. We look forward to working with the Oxea team to build on this strong foundation and continue to create superior value for customers and stakeholders in diversified markets."

"We are excited to partner with Oxea, a market leader with strong production capabilities," said Mubashir Mukadam, Chief Investment Officer of Blantyre Capital. "Oxea's deep expertise in oxo chemicals, combined with its global reach, presents us with ample growth opportunities. We look forward to supporting the company as it continues to expand its product pipeline and advance its strategic position in the industry."
