Strategic Value Partners and Blantyre Capital Acquire OQ Chemicals
Strategic Value Partners (SVP) and Blantyre Capital Limited (Blantyre) recently announced the acquisition of OQ Chemicals (Oxea), a leading global producer and trader of oxygenated chemicals.
As part of the acquisition, OQ Chemicals will revert to its name Oxea to reaffirm its heritage and long-standing position in the global chemical industry.
Oxea is a leading manufacturer of oxo intermediates and performance chemicals, supplying key raw materials to specialty chemical and additive manufacturers in key markets in the United States and Europe. The company produces high-quality alcohols, polyols, plasticizers, carboxylic acids, specialty esters and amines products that are critical to paints, coatings, plastics, lubricants, pharmaceuticals and other industries. Oxea supports global supply chains and meets the long-term needs of high-growth industries such as construction, automotive and electronics. Oxea's chemicals are sold in more than 60 countries, with major production sites in Germany and Texas ensuring a strong global presence.
