Cyclic Materials to Build First Commercial Magnum Recycling Facility in Arizona
Cyclic_Materials, an advanced recycling company creating a circular supply chain for rare earth elements (REEs) and other critical materials, has announced that it has invested more than $20 million to build its first commercial facility in Mesa, Arizona.
The new state-of-the-art facility will be the company’s first global REE recycling operation, focused on separating permanent magnets from previously unrecycled end-of-life products using its proprietary MagCycle process.
Cyclic Materials is building a feedstock supply network to serve the entire United States. While the company already has partnerships in the Southwest, a key region with an estimated 155,000 tons of end-of-life components from automotive and electronic scrap metals per year, it is actively expanding its presence across the country to develop a more robust and scalable supply chain.
“We are excited to begin commercial operations in the U.S. in early 2026,” said Ahmad Ghahreman, CEO and co-founder of Cyclic Materials. "We chose the vibrant Southwest for our first facility in the U.S. and globally, close to raw materials that will support our mission to address the global imbalance in supply and demand for rare earth materials. By developing a circular supply chain, we can reduce our reliance on overseas sources and ensure a more stable supply of rare earths in the future.
Founded in 2021, Cyclic Materials' proprietary technology enables economical and sustainable recovery of critical raw materials from end-of-life electric vehicle motors, wind turbines, MRI machines and data center e-waste.
