Avanti Launches First Pet Food Brand to Tap India’s 3 Billion Dollar Market
Avanti Pet Care, a subsidiary of seafood major Avanti Feeds, has officially entered India’s booming pet food market with the launch of its new cat food brand “Avant Frust” in Hyderabad. This marks a bold strategic shift for the company, traditionally known for its dominance in the shrimp feed and aquaculture industry.
Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Hyderabad, Avanti Feeds is widely recognized for its production of shrimp feed, processed seafood exports, and renewable energy. The company’s shrimp products are shipped to Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, making it a key player in India’s seafood sector.
Now, with the pet food market in India projected to surpass $3 billion in the coming years, Avanti’s diversification into pet nutrition reflects its ambition to expand into high-growth consumer segments. The launch of “Avant Frust” signals the company’s confidence in becoming a serious contender in the pet care industry.
