PA6 Reinvented with 69 Percent Bio Content DOMO Launches ISCC PLUS Certified Sustainable Solution
On May 20, DOMO Chemicals unveiled a major step toward a greener future with its DOMAMID® PA6-based portfolio now fully ISCC PLUS certified. The certification allows customers access to bio-based feedstocks through a mass balance approach, enabling a seamless transition to sustainable alternatives.
The ISCC PLUS certification—globally recognized for verifying sustainable production—ensures full traceability across the supply chain. Powered by Circularise’s digital solution, every stage from feedstock to final product is monitored with precision.
DOMO now offers low to high-viscosity DOMAMID® MBB grades with up to 69% bio-based content, without compromising on performance. These bio-based solutions mirror the quality of fossil-based materials, making adoption easy with no need for product requalification.
Importantly, DOMO avoids competition with the food chain by sourcing materials from waste bio-feedstocks like used cooking oil and non-agricultural waste, such as plastics and textiles—eschewing virgin crops.
Benefits include up to 100% CO₂ emission reduction compared to virgin alternatives from the same production site. The ultra-low carbon footprint makes these materials ideal for food and pharma packaging, industrial yarns, and advanced engineering plastics.
This innovation reflects DOMO’s unwavering mission to deliver PA solutions that enable a more sustainable world—one molecule at a time.
