Over 1200 Billion Yuan in Contracts Secured as China National Chemical Accelerates Global Expansion with 1404 Projects
China National Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (CNCEC) announced that from January to April 2025, it signed contracts totaling an impressive ¥123.017 billion, with ¥104.883 billion from domestic deals and ¥18.134 billion from international markets. The announcement highlights the company’s aggressive push in both domestic and global engineering sectors.
During this four-month period, 1,404 projects were signed, including 39 major contracts each exceeding ¥500 million. Of particular note, 19 contracts focused on new chemical materials, involving key players such as Zhejiang Petrochemical, CNOOC Shell, Haichen Chemical, and Gansu Juhua.
The largest single contract was valued at ¥4.8 billion, awarded to Tianchen Engineering Co., Ltd. by Indonesia’s Pupuk Kaltim for a 300,000 t/y soda ash EPC project. This groundbreaking initiative marks Indonesia’s first soda ash facility and the first implementation of China’s Hou process (also known as the dual-alkali method) in the country. It also represents the first collaboration between Pupuk Kaltim and Tianchen, signaling a new chapter in China–Indonesia industrial cooperation.
This surge in high-value contracts reinforces CNCEC’s status as a global engineering powerhouse, capable of exporting proprietary technologies and forging new alliances across strategic regions.
