LyondellBasell Joint Venture Achieves ISCC PLUS Certification Renewable Products to Cut Carbon Footprint
LyondellBasell (LYB)’s Shanghai sales company and its joint venture, Bora LyondellBasell Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (BLYB), have successfully obtained ISCC PLUS certification, a globally recognized standard for tracking recycled and renewable raw materials across the supply chain.
With this certification, LYB can now produce and sell its CirculenRenew product line through its BLYB joint venture and Shanghai sales company, offering customers certified products based on the mass balance method.
The CirculenRenew series is made from renewable raw materials such as bio-based waste and residual oils, reducing carbon footprints compared to fossil-based alternatives. These polymers are suitable for highly regulated applications, including food contact and medical health products.
This milestone demonstrates LYB’s commitment to sustainability and providing solutions that align with the growing demand for low-carbon, renewable materials in critical industries.
