AkzoNobel and Mercedes Benz Renew Strategic Partnership Until 2028
AkzoNobel’s automotive refinish brand Sikkens has officially renewed its partnership with Mercedes-Benz, extending their collaboration from 2025 to 2028. This renewal marks a significant step in deepening the long-standing strategic relationship between the two industry leaders.
Since 2014, AkzoNobel has been a certified supplier for Daimler's global dealer and body shop network, recognized for its premium product quality and professional services. The partnership expanded in 2018 when Sikkens began supplying Mercedes-Benz China with top-tier automotive refinish solutions. Over the years, the collaboration has flourished in the Chinese market, and this renewal ushers in a new phase of close cooperation.
Mercedes-Benz evaluated potential partners on various criteria, including brand strength, product quality, innovation, service, and sustainability. Sikkens stood out by demonstrating exceptional expertise, a robust service network, consistent product reliability, and a strong commitment to sustainable practices.
With over 230 years of history, Sikkens operates in more than 120 countries, renowned for its advanced paint technologies, precise color matching, and superior customer service. This global reputation played a crucial role in securing the renewed partnership.
Bob Chen, General Manager of AkzoNobel Automotive Refinish China, remarked: “We are honored to extend this strategic partnership with Mercedes-Benz China. The renewal reflects their confidence in Sikkens' capabilities and underscores our shared commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable refinish solutions.”
AkzoNobel reaffirmed its dedication to leveraging its technological, service, and sustainability strengths during the renewed contract period, aiming to provide Mercedes-Benz with even higher-quality support and to paint a brighter future together.
