Xinfengming Invests 100 Million Yuan in Leaf Bio Signs Strategic Alliance to Accelerate Green Fiber Revolution
On July 17, Xinfengming Group and Leaf Bio held a landmark ceremony to formalize their strategic partnership, signaling a new era of collaborative innovation for the textile fiber industry. Senior executives from both companies—including Xinfengming’s Chairman Zhuang Yaozhong and Leaf Bio’s CEO Xu Hai—witnessed the signing alongside core teams.
In a major financial move, Xinfengming announced a 100 million yuan investment in Hefei Leaf Bio-Tech Co., Ltd., acquiring a 7.0175% stake. This alliance positions both companies at the forefront of sustainable materials and green transformation.
Leaf Bio specializes in bio-based aromatic materials such as BioFleax™ and FDCA, recognized as "next-generation polyesters" and the most promising bio-based platform compounds. These products uniquely rival PET and PTA in chemical structure among scalable, high-performance, low-carbon materials, winning strategic partnerships with global industry leaders in packaging, textiles, and automotive sectors.
Xinfengming is proactively embracing new industries to drive sustainable growth and align with China’s dual-carbon goals. By leveraging Leaf Bio’s FDCA technology, Xinfengming aims to pioneer advanced materials like PEF for high-end fibers and eco-friendly packaging, fully in line with the group’s strategy of green, differentiated, and innovative development.
This strategic alliance is a decisive step for Xinfengming to break out of traditional industry constraints, seize policy opportunities, and build a differentiated competitive edge in the bio-based materials sector, injecting powerful momentum into its green transformation journey.
