Belarus and China Sign Updated Protocol for Poultry Exports 188 Belarusian Producers Registered for Chinese Market

On July 29, Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Yuri Gorlov met with Sun Meijun, head of China’s General Administration of Customs, in Beijing to sign an updated protocol on inspection and veterinary requirements for Belarusian poultry exports to China. The agreement marks a new phase in agricultural trade cooperation between the two countries.

Gorlov thanked China for organizing the meeting and highlighted the strong recognition Belarusian products enjoy in the Chinese market. Currently, 188 Belarusian food producers are registered in China’s “single window” system, underlining the country’s growing presence.

Belarus expressed interest in expanding its export portfolio to China—including grains, flour, oilseed meal, peat, beef products, and canned poultry. Both sides exchanged views on quality and safety standards for poultry processing. Gorlov also discussed potential collaboration in livestock technology with the president of China’s Animal Husbandry Association, with plans for Belarusian experts to visit leading Chinese enterprises.
