Artificial Intelligence and Industry Digitalization Take Center Stage at the 2025 International Coatings Congress
The event is part of the ABRAFATI SHOW and willfeature 90 presentations by experts from Brazil and 10 other countries
The 19th edition of theABRAFATI SHOW will take place from September 23 to 25 at São Paulo Expo,bringing together the International Coatings Congress and the InternationalExhibition of Coatings Suppliers.
This edition of the Congresswill feature presentations from more than 80 experts, focusing on cutting-edgetechnological innovations, next-generation raw materials, sustainability-drivenresearch, and other developments in the paint and coatings sector. The biennialevent addresses timely and relevant topics, and among this year's highlightsare the use of Artificial Intelligence in paint production and thedigitalization of the industry.
According to Alexandre Brown,Construction Portfolio Director at NürnbergMesse Brasil, organizer of the eventin partnership with Vincentz Network, “ABRAFATI SHOW is closely following thegrowing movement toward the adoption of technologies that increasinglystreamline production processes — and this applies to the coatings industry aswell. As in previous editions, the Congress will provide a platform fordiscussions on the most urgent and relevant issues in the sector through anintensive program of lectures by renowned professionals,” he explains.

On the first day of theevent, September 23, a dedicated session will focus on the digitaltransformation of the coatings industry. This topic will be addressedthroughout the Congress and will feature prominently during the Plenary Sessionon the third day (September 25), where Daniel Murad, CEO of U.S.-basedconsultancy ChemQuest, will explore global market trends and outlooks,including investment opportunities, emerging technologies, regulatorychallenges, and broader market dynamics.

The Congress will include atotal of 90 presentations by specialists from over 10 countries, including theUnited States, Spain, China, and the Netherlands. It will open at 8 a.m. with aseries of technical short courses, followed by the main Plenary Sessions.Keynote speakers this year include Marizeth Carvalho, Chair of ABRAFATI’s Boardof Directors and General Manager for Southern Latin America and Global PowderCoatings Leader at PPG (September 23); Daniel Murad of ChemQuest (September25); and a special panel on Women in Leadership (September 24), featuring CEOsMaria Cristina Potomati (Lukscolor), Kelly Diniz Bicalho (Brasilux), MarianaOrsini (Dow), and Claudia Antunes (Chemours).
