Review of the 93rd API China: In Chongqing, Witnessing the Global Pulse of the Pharmaceutical Industry
On November 14, the 93rd API China concluded successfully in Chongqing. As both an exhibitor and an official media partner of this year’s event, ECHEMI showcased its product strengths, engaged in multi-level business exchanges, shared professional market insights, and expanded industry influence through its media channels. Demonstrating solid expertise and an open, collaborative mindset, ECHEMI helped create broader cooperation opportunities for the global pharmaceutical industry.

The year 2025 is regarded as a pivotal period for accelerating innovation and reshaping momentum within the pharmaceutical sector. The 93rd API China delivered an outstanding year-end performance for the industry. Over the three-day event, the exhibition presented the latest achievements in pharmaceutical manufacturing and—through intensive exchanges and trend-focused discussions—unlocked new possibilities for industrial collaboration and supply-chain optimization.

During the exhibition, more than 30 high-level professional forums were held, covering core topics such as drug R&D, quality control, environmental protection, and safety. Over one hundred industry experts and leaders from top enterprises were invited to share insights, providing attendees with valuable perspectives on the cutting edge of the industry.
Throughout the event, ECHEMI’s APIs, intermediates, excipients and specialty chemicals attracted continuous attention. Peptides, anti-inflammatory small molecules, and veterinary APIs became key inquiry categories. Buyers from Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America visited ECHEMI’s booth (N7Q05) for business discussions, with many expressing clear cooperation intentions—several projects have already begun substantive follow-up.

ECHEMI’s platform service capabilities also received recognition from domestic and overseas manufacturers. Many Chinese API producers showed strong interest in ECHEMI’s services—including overseas buyer engagement, international market promotion, industry data support, and regulatory guidance—remarking that:
“Amid increasingly intense global competition, factories need not only product distribution channels but also access to information and platform-based support. ECHEMI is playing an increasingly important role in this area.”

As an official media partner, ECHEMI leveraged its international resources to organize and invite more than ten professional media outlets from key global markets to conduct on-site filming and interviews. Their coverage captured the dynamic atmosphere of the exhibition and the growing strength of China’s pharmaceutical industry, helping API China reach a wider international audience and further enhancing the event’s global visibility and industry impact.
In addition, ECHEMI’s Bangladesh market-focused session—held during the exhibition—continued to draw attention. On the final day, multiple participants returned specifically to further discuss the structural characteristics, market-entry policies, and category opportunities in South Asia, demonstrating the practical value of professional market insights for enterprises expanding into overseas markets.

Although the exhibition has concluded, ECHEMI’s engagement with the industry will continue. As the global pharmaceutical sector moves toward deeper collaboration, ECHEMI will leverage its professional expertise and international platform to deliver stronger supply-chain support, clearer market intelligence, and more efficient global connectivity.
Next stop—the 94th API China will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from May 13 to 15, 2026. ECHEMI looks forward to reuniting with industry partners on a broader stage to witness the ongoing innovation and growth of China’s pharmaceutical industry together.
