INEOS Inovyn Moths Methyl Chlorocarbonate Production Facility in Tavaux, France
INEOS Inovyn announced the closure of its methyl chlorocarbonate production facility in Tavaux, France. This decision reflects continued weak market demand, regulatory challenges, and rising operating and energy costs.
To help mitigate the impact on customers, INEOS Inovyn will optimize methyl chlorocarbonate production at its Rosignano, Italy facility.
Arnaud Valenduc, Business Director at INEOS Inovyn, said: "Our industry continues to face challenging market conditions and energy costs, with natural gas prices in Europe approximately three times higher than in the United States. To balance INEOS Inovyn's operating rate with weak market demand, we have announced the decision to suspend our methyl chlorocarbonate production facility in Tavaux. We remain committed to supporting our customers."
