Nouryon's Production Facilities in China Have Obtained Halal Certification for Personal Care Ingredients
Nouryon announced that its production sites in Boxing and Ningbo, China, have received Halal certification for specific ingredients used in personal care and cleaning products. This certification enables Nouryon to serve more global markets and meet internationally recognized ethical and hygiene standards.
"Halal certification is not a niche requirement; it opens doors for us to serve nearly 2 billion consumers in specific markets and regions who require Halal products. With this certification, we are expanding the possibilities for the consumer brands we support and enhancing their competitiveness in high-growth markets," said Brad Pearson, Vice President of Cleaning Products at Nouryon.
The Boxing facility produces fatty amines and quaternary ammonium compounds, which are key ingredients for fabric softeners and cleaning products. The Ningbo facility produces conventional and green chelating agents for household and industrial cleaning products as well as personal care applications.
Nouryon remains committed to meeting the evolving needs of global customers and consumers, providing high-performance and sustainable ingredient solutions for the cleaning and personal care markets. The company has multiple manufacturing sites worldwide and technical support centers to help customers navigate regulatory requirements and optimize formulations according to local market preferences.
Within Nouryon's Consumer and Life Sciences division, these cleaning and personal care products fall under the company's Home and Personal Care business unit, which markets key ingredients that enhance the performance of consumer essentials.
