in-cosmetics Asia 2025 to highlight Halal beauty amid rising market demand

This year’s show will shine a light on halal-certified innovation, ethical beauty and the fast-growing halal beauty market
16 OCTOBER, BANGKOK: Against a backdrop of rising consumer demand and evolving regulations across the region, in-cosmetics Asia, the leading event in Asia Pacific for personal care ingredients, is putting halal-certified innovation up front and centre for 2025.
As the global halal cosmetics market continues to grow, now valued at $47.76 billion1, the show will spotlight the latest halal-certified formulations and ingredients driving the sector forward.
Asia Pacific is at the forefront of this movement, with regulatory shifts helping accelerate adoption: in Indonesia, all cosmetics must be halal-certified by October 2026, while Malaysia is streamlining certification processes and tightening enforcement around halal logos. Regionally, ingredient and labelling standards are being harmonised under the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive, with halal trends gaining traction across multiple markets.
This year, in-cosmetics Asia will showcase how halal cosmetics are reshaping personal care. Exhibitors from Malaysia, Thailand and the Middle East will present ingredients that reflect growing demand for clean, ethical and inclusive products. Leading global suppliers including Azelis, BASF, Croda, dsm-firmenich, Mibelle AG Biochemistry and Symrise will showcase a diverse portfolio of halal-certified personal care ingredients.
“We’re proud that almost a third of our exhibitors now supply halal-certified ingredients,” said Sarah Gibson, Event Director at in-cosmetics Asia. “With halal beauty growing rapidly in both consumer demand and industry relevance, this year’s show will offer a wealth of insights and showcase a wide range of innovations, from bioactive and barrier-repairing formulations to antioxidant, UV-protective and multi-functional ingredients. These developments highlight how halal beauty seamlessly blends scientific progress with regional ethical principles."

Formulating for the Middle Eastern beauty consumer

Presented by Faiza Hussain, Director of The Skin Shrink and Head of Research and Product Innovation at NEX Skincare, the session explores one of the world’s fastest-growing beauty markets. in-cosmetics Asia 2025 will also feature a new on-site prayer room on the show floor, complementing existing facilities near Halls 103 and 99, providing a private space for daily Islamic prayers while managing business commitments. Halal dining will also be available at BUNG Steak Halal Food Café, located next to the prayer room and within easy reach of the Marketing Trends Theatre. Additional food options are offered at the BITEC basement food court.
