According to the commodity market analysis system, on October 28, the average price of ammonium sulfate in the Chinese market was 1,036 CNY/ton, and on October 1, the average price of ammonium sulfate in the Chinese market was 953 CNY/ton. The price of ammonium sulfate in the market increased by 8.74% this month.
2. Market Analysis
This month, the ammonium sulfate market price first rose and then fell, with a generally strong trend. In the first half of this month, the ammonium sulfate market price continued to rise. The operating rate of caprolactam-grade decreased, leading to a reduction in market supply, while the operating rate of coke-grade remained stable. The demand for replenishment from downstream increased, and the trading atmosphere in the ammonium sulfate market was good, with manufacturers mainly maintaining their prices. In the latter part of the month, the ammonium sulfate market price dropped from its high level. After the continuous increase, downstream buyers became more cautious, and the trading atmosphere weakened, leading to a slight downward adjustment in the ammonium sulfate price. As of October 28, the main ex-factory quotation for coke-grade ammonium sulfate in Shandong region is around 955 CNY/ton. For caprolactam-grade ammonium sulfate, the main ex-factory quotation in Shandong region is around 1010-1040 CNY/ton.
According to the weekly K-line chart from July 28, 2025, to October 20, 2025, China's ammonium sulfate market experienced mixed price movements during this period. In October, ammonium sulfate prices in China saw a significant increase, with the largest price hike occurring in the week of October 13, reaching a 6.64% rise.

Ammonium sulfate analysts believe that recently, the price of ammonium sulfate in China has slightly decreased. Due to the consistently high prices of ammonium sulfate, the purchasing interest from downstream buyers has weakened, and the market transaction atmosphere has cooled down.
