On October 29, the domestic anhydrous hydrogen fluoride market in China saw a slight downward adjustment
October 30 news
October 29, the Chinese anhydrous hydrogen fluoride market saw a slight downward adjustment. According to the analysis system, as of October 29, the benchmark price for hydrofluoric acid was 12,533.33 CNY/ton, a decrease of -1.05% from the beginning of the month.
On the raw materials front: China's fluorite prices have slightly declined, weakening cost-based support. As of October 29, the benchmark fluorite price stood at 3,612.50 CNY per ton, representing a 0.07% increase compared to the beginning of this month (3,610.00 CNY/ton). The drop in fluorite prices has significantly reduced the strong cost-floor support for hydrofluoric acid, leading to a corresponding downturn in hydrofluoric acid market conditions.
On the demand side: Downstream sectors are facing the traditional off-season, resulting in weak demand and insufficient overall consumption capacity. Purchasing is primarily driven by immediate needs, with many players adopting a wait-and-see approach and showing limited purchasing enthusiasm. Overall, demand for hydrogen fluoride remains relatively weak, and the market is expected to remain stable—albeit on the weaker side—in the near term.
Market Forecast: Raw material fluorite prices are declining, weakening cost support. Additionally, downstream industries are entering the traditional off-season, leading to weak demand—driven primarily by essential purchasing needs rather than speculative activity. Overall, this suggests that downstream consumption capacity remains insufficient. As a result, the anhydrous hydrogen fluoride market is expected to remain predominantly stable with limited downside risk in the near term. Further attention should be paid to shifts in market supply and demand dynamics.
