Chinese Medicine Innovation Development
"The development of traditional Chinese medicine is facing a great test and dilemma due to the insufficient level of basic research and core technology development capability of traditional Chinese medicine." Liang Xinmiao, a researcher at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Dalian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine Science Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Jiangxi Province, called on China to consider building a national major science and technology infrastructure in the field of traditional Chinese medicine at the recently held Xiangshan Science Conference.
"Some people may think that Chinese medicine uses too many modern techniques and methods, is it diluting the characteristics of Chinese medicine? I think the key is not in what specific facilities and technical methods are used, but in the guiding ideology of research." According to Chen Kai Xian, TCM needs to keep pace with the times, and as long as the scientific guiding ideology that conforms to the laws of TCM and reflects the characteristics and advantages of TCM is adhered to, the application of modern technology is not only necessary for the development of TCM, but will also play a good role in promoting it.
