India Unleashes a Triple-Action Defender: Parijat Introduces NILANIX SC into the Rice Battlefront
Parijat Industries (India) Limited has officially launched NILANIX SC, a new patented insecticide formulated specifically to combat brown planthopper and white-backed planthopper in rice. The introduction marks a strategic expansion of Parijat’s proprietary portfolio and arrives as Asia faces intensifying pest outbreaks that threaten the stability of rice production systems.
NILANIX SC is a suspension concentrate combining three active ingredients, pymetrozine at 14.8 percent, fipronil at 7.5 percent and dinotefuran at 4.8 percent by weight, forming a multi-mode formulation designed to interrupt planthopper population growth at critical stages of rice development. The product will be distributed through Parijat’s nationwide dealer network, with phased expansion planned across additional regions in the coming months.
Planthopper infestations have surged repeatedly across Asian rice belts in recent years, inflicting severe yield losses and, in some cases, complete crop failure in affected fields. These outbreaks have reinforced the need for more robust and sustained insect control strategies, particularly as resistance pressures and climatic variability continue to reshape pest dynamics.
According to Parijat Industries’ domestic business leadership, NILANIX SC has undergone extensive field evaluations and reflects the company’s commitment to advancing sustainable agricultural practices. Its launch further broadens Parijat’s patented product line, joining established brands such as Velektin, Xyfen Ultra and Dahan in servicing the rice protection market. The company’s strategic marketing team has emphasized that NILANIX SC plays a central role in Parijat’s rice portfolio, engineered to meet the evolving realities of Indian crop production.
Parijat Industries (India) Limited operates as a globally active agrochemical enterprise headquartered in India, focusing on innovation-driven research, formulation development and branded product distribution. By March 31, 2025, its commercial footprint had expanded to 65 countries across Asia, West Africa, Europe and North America, excluding India. The launch of NILANIX SC underscores how Indian agrochemical innovators are increasingly positioning proprietary technologies as frontline tools in the global push to secure staple crop productivity.
