This week, the Chinese anhydrous hydrogen fluoride market showed a slight upward fluctuation (1.26-1.29)

ECHEMI 2026-01-30

January 29th, News

The latest tender prices for the Chinese hydrogen fluoride market have been finalized, with the latest tender delivery price in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions ranging from 11,900 to 12,100 CNY/ton, a slight increase of 0 to 100 CNY/ton compared to the previous period. According to the analysis system, as of January 29, the benchmark price for hydrofluoric acid was 13,066.67 CNY/ton, an increase of 0.26% from the beginning of the month.

Raw Materials: This week, the prices of raw materials—fluorite and sulfuric acid—remained at high levels. The raw material side provided solid cost support for anhydrous hydrofluoric acid, and it is expected that hydrofluoric acid prices will remain stable to slightly stronger ahead of the holiday period. According to analysis system data, as of January 29, the benchmark price of fluorite was 3,412.50 CNY per ton, up 0.37% from the beginning of this month (3,400.00 CNY per ton).

On the demand side: As the year-end approaches, the downstream refrigerant industry has nearly exhausted its production quotas, resulting in weak overall demand and a predominantly on-demand procurement pattern. Most players are adopting a wait-and-see attitude, with relatively low purchasing enthusiasm. Market prices lack upward momentum, and in the short term, operations will mainly focus on fulfilling contracted orders and maintaining a generally stable status quo.

Future Market Forecast: The price of fluorspar and sulfuric acid, as raw materials, remains at a high level and continues to provide some support. However, downstream demand is weak, with buyers primarily driven by essential needs, resulting in only moderate support from the demand side. We expect the market price of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride to remain stable with a slight upward bias in the coming period. Further attention should be paid to changes in market supply and demand.
