Major sweetener supplier signs up with Finmayil for stevia extract
Tereos, a French producer of sweeteners, starches and bioethanol, announced a strategic agreement with Finmay to provide its customers with traceable stevia-sourced sweeteners by sourcing stevia extracts from Finmay.
According to Tereos, this agreement will allow the company to combine its own solutions with FMI's range of stevia extracts, leveraging their outstanding expertise in food flavors to accelerate its own innovation in sugar reduction.
With a 10-year history in the stevia business, Taeréos has a deep understanding of the market and application expertise at hand. The company offers a wide range of sweetening solutions to its customers, among which stevia extract is one of them.
Guillaume Planque, Marketing Director of Tractis, said: "Femmeceuticals is the world's largest privately owned flavor and fragrance company and a leading supplier of stevia. Our strategic sourcing agreement with it opens up new perspectives for customers of the company's stevia and sweeteners business, allowing them to benefit from our ability to adapt our formulations and from Fenmérie's deep flavor and aroma expertise."
Taeréos is a cooperative of 12,000 farmers worldwide. In addition to sugar and sweeteners, it supplies bulking agents such as starch, dietary fiber, protein, maltodextrin and bioethanol to downstream industries including food and beverage, animal feed, phytochemicals and fermentation, pharmaceuticals, energy and personal care.
