September 29th, according to news:
According to the commodity analysis system, the styrene market in China fluctuated and increased in September. The average price at the beginning of the month was 9,460 CNY/ton, and on September 29th, it was 10,400 CNY/ton, with a monthly price increase of 9.94%. The market first rose, then experienced a round of adjustment in the middle of the month, and slightly rebounded at the end of the month. During the month, styrene production facilities operated at low levels, with both maintenance and restarts occurring. Non-integrated plants that purchase raw materials externally continued to suffer deep losses, leading companies to actively control production and reduce loads. Even though some old facilities restarted, the overall output remained limited. Port inventory remained low, providing bottom support for styrene prices. Downstream 3S demand was lower than expected, and the peak season was not as strong as anticipated. Under high costs, downstream profits tightened, and they only maintained rigid replenishment, showing little willingness to stock up proactively.
