Indonesia's rubber exports in 2021 are expected to be flat at 2.45 million tons year-on-year

ECHEMI 2021-11-08

Foreign media reported on November 3 that Erwin Tunas, executive director of the Indonesian Rubber Association (Gapkindo), said in a forum on Wednesday that Indonesian rubber exports in 2021 are expected to maintain the 2020 level of 2.45 million tons.

Indonesia is the world's second largest rubber producer after Thailand. After reaching an export high of 3.26 million tons in 2017, Indonesian exports have continued to decrease due to a decline in production.

Data from the Indonesian Rubber Association show that from January to September 2021, Indonesia exported 1.82 million tons of natural rubber, an increase of 0.97% from 1.8 million tons in the same period last year.
