Turkey's Bagfas Gets $3.2 mln Fertilizer Order for Export to Romania

Turkey-based Bagfas Bandirma Gubre Fabrikalari said on Monday it has received fertilizer supply orders worth a total of $3.2 million (2.86 million euro) from US-based fertilizer trader Trammo for export to Romania.

Under the deal, Bagfas will supply in June 9,000 tonnes of diammonium phosphate (DAP) fertilizer to Trammo in Romania, it said in a filing to Turkey's public disclosure platform KAP for companies listed on the Istanbul bourse.

Bagfas had supplied Romania with fertilizers through Trammo also in 2013 and 2014.

Bagfas, founded in 1969, is active in the manufacture, import and export of chemical fertilizers and acids. It sells its products both domestically and in other countries, such as Italy, Romania, Greece, Croatia, Ireland, Spain, Uruguay, Nigeria and Brazil.

Trammo, formerly known as Transammonia, is active in international commerce, trade, transportation, distribution, and marketing of fertilizers, chemicals,methanol, crude oil, liquefied petroleum gas and petrochemicals. Trammo maintains offices in 26 locations around the globe, including Romania.
