Start in January 2022! The Prices of These Chemicals Collectively Increase!
Recently, A-share titanium dioxide leader Anada issued a price adjustment letter, stating that based on recent market demand for titanium dioxide and the sharp increase in raw material prices and other factors, after research and decision, from January 1, 2022, rutile and anatase titanium dioxide The base price of domestic sales was raised by 1,000 CNY/ton, and the base price of foreign trade sales was raised by US$150/ton.
This week, nearly 10 titanium dioxide companies have issued letters announcing the increase, and the price increase is generally around 1,000 CNY/ton. This also confirms the previous feedback from the industry that "the price increase of leading overseas titanium dioxide will drive domestic companies to increase, and the previous price reduction will not last too long."
10 consecutive rounds! Many domestic and foreign companies such as Longbai and Huiyun Titanium have sent letters to announce the rise

This year, the titanium dioxide giant Longbai Group has increased 10 rounds, with a cumulative increase of more than 8,000 CNY/ton. It has led several times of overall price increases in the industry. After the Gold, nine, and silver prices have passed, the domestic titanium dioxide market has shown a trend of price reductions as a whole. The reason is that the domestic demand is not good. However, at present, some manufacturers are in short supply, and there are more and more voices of price increases. The market is extremely anxious. The agency expects that after the price increase, more domestic companies may follow up.

Under the high pressure of cost, price increase has become "the desire of the people"
From “increase outside and decrease inside” to “both inside and outside”, many chemical workers were a little shocked by the price trend of domestic chemicals at the end of the year, and the trend that everyone expected to “stabilize while falling” did not materialize. Whether it is dual energy consumption control, power restriction and production restriction, or the epidemic counterattack, transportation is blocked, the current pattern of weak supply and demand has not been able to stop the price increase of chemical products.
In addition to the supply-demand relationship, another important factor in determining prices is "artificial control of sales." Whether it is an industry that is "trimming the ball" at the edge of monopoly, such as titanium dioxide, or an industry with high technical barriers and strong irreplaceability, its price None of the high positions will show huge changes under the change of supply and demand relationship.
So for coating companies, what will the price increase of chemical raw materials and even the bulk chemicals in the upstream industrial chain bring? There is no doubt that the cost is high. But what is unexpected is that compared with the benefits of the price reduction of raw materials, some leading companies hope that the raw materials will keep rising slowly.
On the one hand, the pressure brought by the price increase of raw materials is obviously more serious on small and medium-sized enterprises than leading enterprises. This can also be seen from the number of small and medium-sized enterprises that have closed down in the past year. When enterprises are eliminated, these enterprises generally do not pay much attention to innovation, R&D and technological strength, but to fight price wars and obtain immediate benefits. On the other hand, companies generally have stockpiling at the end of the year. If the upstream raw materials decline, it will be a huge loss for the stockpiling company's inventory, and it will lose the reason for the gradual increase. Although the end of the year is already in the off-season, many companies in the coatings industry still hope that the raw materials will show a slight upward trend, so that they can pave the way for the coming year.
