Titanium dioxide enterprises have layout vanadium battery industry chain
Following the lead of the lithium battery industry, titanium dioxide industry leaders will continue to focus on the epitaxial layout of the vanadium battery industry chain. On October 13, Tibai announced that the company intends to establish Huili Vanadium Energy Mining Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as Huili Vanadium Energy) with a registered capital of 510 million yuan. Its business scope includes mineral wash processing, metal ore sales, in which CNPC Titanium White holds a 100% interest.
Central titanium dioxide shows that the Panxi region is abundant in vanadium and titanium resources, and is a well-known distribution and concentration zone of the Chinese vanadium tournament, where titanium reserves rank first and vanadium reserves third in the world. The company plans to build a vanadium and titanium industry ecosystem with Huili Vanadium as the mainstay, relying on the abundant vanadium and titanium mineral resources of the Panxi region, with the goal of vertical integration of the industrial chain and comprehensive utilization of the resources.
In fact, this is the core of the further layout extension of TiO₂ in the vanadium battery industry chain..In July this year, CNPC Titanium Dioxide announced that it had signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Sichuan Weili Energy Co. on the full industrial chain of all-vanadium liquid flow battery energy storage..At that time, the announcement showed that the two sides will build a full vanadium flow battery energy storage industry chain joint venture, including but not limited to metal vanadium smelting and vanadium electrolyte manufacturing, full vanadium flow battery energy storage system equipment manufacturing, new energy and energy storage power station construction.
Not only in the core titanium dioxide industry, but also in the vanadium battery industry chain, as the larger capacity Longtop Group has started to layout..In July this year, Longbai Group announced that in order to promote the company's iron concentrate vanadium extraction industrialization, the wholly-owned subsidiary Longbai Sichuan Mining and Metallurgy Co., Ltd. intends to invest in the construction of vanadium titanium iron concentrate alkaline pellet wet process of 30,000 tons/year vanadium pentoxide innovation demonstration project, a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan.
