AGC Expands Pennsylvania Plant
On January 10, AGC America, Inc. (AGCCA) announced that the company intends to expand its production site in Sandale, Pennsylvania. The expansion of the production site will increase the site's manufacturing, quality control laboratory and office space by 50%, and will meet the growing needs of the current business and accommodate future production growth. Work on the expansion will begin in December and is expected to be completed by July 2023.
AGCCA is a subsidiary of AGC (formerly Asahi Glass), responsible for the manufacture and sale of fluoroproducts, including fluoropolymer resins, fluorochemicals and fluoroelastomers. Other products made by the company include polyurethane polyols and greenhouse films, among others. Last year, AGCCA established a global chemicals business unit in Exton, Pennsylvania, with strong technical capabilities in fluororesin composites at its Sandale facility, as well as operations in transportation, aerospace, energy, industrial, semiconductor and coatings. Lots of applications.
