The Market Price of Ammonium Chloride Will Rise Sharply In 2021
In 2021, the market price of ammonium chloride has been rising all the way. According to the monitoring of the business agency, the price low point is 582 CNY/ton at the beginning of the year, and the price high point is 1220 CNY/ton in early November, with an amplitude of 109.62%; the price at the end of the year is 1095 CNY/ton, Compared with the beginning of the year, it has increased by 87.98%.
During the spring ploughing and stocking stage from January to March at the beginning of the year, the price of ammonium chloride has been rising all the way. On the one hand, the operating rate of domestic caustic soda is low. From January to March, the operating rate of caustic soda is basically around 60% to 70%; With the launch of the spring ploughing market in the first quarter, ammonium chloride manufacturers have increased their shipments and have sufficient orders to be issued. In addition, the price of urea has risen sharply during this period, and the price of ammonium chloride has risen sharply, from 582 CNY/ton at the beginning of the year to On March 26, it was 745 CNY/ton, an increase of 27.90%.
In April, on the one hand, the spring ploughing and stockpiling ended, and the company's pending orders were light; on the other hand, the start of joint alkali construction increased to more than 70%, the supply side was slightly increased, and the ammonium chloride market entered a short period of adjustment.
The price of ammonium chloride in the summer fertilizer stage from May to August rose again. First, the sharp rise in the price of urea has promoted the upward momentum of ammonium chloride; secondly, the operating rate of domestic caustic soda has gradually decreased from May to July, from 70% in May to 5-60% in July, and the supply side is tight ; Finally, the price of raw material liquid ammonia has been rising all the way, and the cost has formed a strong support in the face of ammonium chloride. Three aspects pushed the price of ammonium chloride to rise from 722 CNY/ton on May 6 to 1170 CNY/ton on August 31, an increase of 61.94%.
From the end of the third quarter to the fourth quarter from September to December, the ammonium chloride market was in a state of slight fluctuation. On the one hand, the winter is gradually entering, and the winter storage is slow to start, and the downstream demand fluctuates slightly; on the other hand, the start-up of combined alkali fluctuates between 70% and 80%, and the supply side is loose; in addition, the prices of urea and raw material liquid ammonia fluctuate slightly, and the substitution side and cost side Affected by fluctuations, the price of ammonium chloride mainly fluctuated, with a high of 1220 CNY/ton and a low of 1077 CNY/ton, with an amplitude of 13.28%.
In 2021, the liquid ammonia market started at a low level in the early stage, and the price went up all the way. In the later stage, with the increase in the operating rate, the price fluctuated mainly, forming a strong support for ammonium chloride in the early stage. According to the monitoring of the business agency, as of December 31, 2021, the domestic liquid ammonia price was 4,410 CNY/ton, up 34.04% from the beginning of the year; the high point of the year was 5,300 CNY/ton in late October, up 61.09% from the beginning of the year.
