End of peak season! Ammonium chloride fell slightly in May
Ammonium chloride prices rose sharply in the peak season in March and April. With the end of the peak season in May, ammonium chloride market transactions have gradually become lighter. From the perspective of the downstream operating rate, the operating rate of the downstream compound fertilizer in May has fallen sharply compared with April, and the demand has been negative in the face of the ammonium chloride market. According to the business community, the operating rate of compound fertilizers nationwide in early April was about 63%, an increase of 5% over the same period last year, and most large-scale enterprises started operating at 60% -100%. As of mid-May, the data price dropped to around 46%, and the overall operating rate dropped by 30%. Lower downstream demand restricts the upward trend in ammonium chloride prices.
Affected by the reduction in the operating rate of enterprises, the inventory of ammonium chloride was limited in May, and the supply was supported by the price of ammonium chloride. According to the monitoring of the business community, the operating rate of Liankai enterprises was around 70% at the beginning of the month, and the overall plant load fell to below 60% by the end of May. Ammonium chloride enterprises mostly rely on consumption stocks, and the stocks have been lowering.
The price of raw materials rises and falls with each other, and the influence of mutual constraints on the price of ammonium chloride. According to the monitoring of the business community, the price of liquid ammonia fell in May, from 3116 CNY/ton at the beginning of the month to 3016 CNY/ton at the end of the month, an overall decline of 3.2%; the price of hydrochloric acid in May rose from 196 CNY/ton at the beginning of the month to At the end of the month, 210 CNY/ton, an overall increase of 7.14%.
Market outlook forecast: Ammonium chloride analysts believe that on the one hand, agricultural demand is about to enter the off-season, on the other hand, domestic ammonium chloride enterprises have low stocks, and ammonium chloride may show a weak and stable state in the later period, and prices are stable at high levels.
