A few days ago, Hainan Huasheng Group's polycarbonate project in Dongfang Lingang Industrial Park is carrying out capacity commissioning before the official commissioning of the overall device and process according to market conditions. It is expected to be put into production in March.

In 2022, the main equipment and various equipments of the first phase of the project have been installed. After the single-machine commissioning, joint commissioning, system water intermodal transportation, instrument joint school and other efforts, the feeding process from the raw material storage tank to the benzyl carbonate reaction tower was successful in the beginning of the year. , the project enters the most important part of operation.

Phase 1 of the project

Huasheng polycarbonate project is a national high-tech industry and a key industry supported by the state, and is listed as a provincial large-scale industrial project and a provincial key project. The total investment of the first phase of the project is 4.5 billion yuan. It mainly builds two process production units, such as a 224,000-ton/year diphenyl carbonate unit, a 260,000-ton/year polycarbonate unit, a 240,000-ton/year bisphenol A unit, and a 100,000-ton/year bisphenol A unit. ton/year dimethyl carbonate plant and related supporting facilities.

After the first phase of the project is put into operation, it will realize an annual output value of 7 billion yuan, a total annual profit and tax of 2 billion yuan, and directly provide 700 jobs.

Project Phase II

The total investment of the second phase of the project is 13 billion yuan, mainly to build 8 sets of production units including 600,000 tons of PDH, 400,000 tons of polypropylene, 530,000 tons of cumene, and 650,000 tons of phenol and acetone combined units, extending to the downstream PC alloy material industry . In June 2021, the second phase of the project will complete the land delisting and will be completed and put into operation during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.

Polycarbonate Industry Overview

According to the "2021 China Polycarbonate (PC) Industry Market Supply and Demand Status and Enterprise Capacity Analysis" data, as of 2021, there are only four domestic PC manufacturers with an annual capacity of more than 200,000 tons. According to the capacity planning of the first phase of Hainan Huasheng project, it will directly rank among the top five in the domestic industry.

According to public data, in 2020, the apparent consumption of polycarbonate in my country will reach 2.34 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%, the domestic PC production will be 959,400 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.10%, and the dependence on foreign imports will reach 59%.
