Zhongsha 260,000 tons of polycarbonate project plans trial production in June

On May 9, 2021, the joint purge of steam pipelines in the Zhongsha New Material Park, a key project in Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone, was officially launched. This steam purge is an important link and prerequisite for the commissioning of the Zhongsha New Material Park project. The conditions indicate that the project has taken another crucial step from the formal commissioning.

The purge site involved the steam distribution station in the Nangang Industrial Zone, 3.3 kilometers of external pipelines and the internal pipelines of the Zhongsha project. To ensure the smooth progress of the purge, Taigang Operating Company, Zhongsha Petrochemical, Huadian International and other relevant units deployed in advance. Jointly plan the purge plan carefully, predict the possible risks in advance and formulate corresponding measures. Everyone performs their own responsibilities, strengthens supervision and management of key purging links, and checks all links such as safety measures and personnel preparations to prevent safety risks. With careful preparation, at 18:00 on May 9th, the 1.0MPa and 4.0MPa steam pipeline purge officially started.

According to reports, the total investment of the Zhongsha New Material Park project is about 10.7 billion yuan, mainly for the construction of a 260,000 tons/year polycarbonate project. It is the second phase of the construction of Sinopec Group and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation relying on the Tianjin million-ton ethylene project. It is one of the key projects in Tianjin. At present, the main equipment has been basically completed, and it is expected to start trial production in June 2021.
