The value added of chemical raw materials manufacturing increased by 3.5% in May

Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on June 1 show that in May 2019, the value added of industries above scale increased by 5.0% and 0.36% year on year. Among them, chemical raw materials and chemicals manufacturing industry increased by 3.5%.
It can be divided into three categories. In May, the value-added of mining industry increased by 3.9% year-on-year, accelerating by 1.0 percentage points compared with April; the manufacturing industry increased by 5.0% and fell by 0.3 percentage points; the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water increased by 5.9%, and the coatingol.com decreased by 3.6 percentage points. In terms of economic types, in May, the added value of state-owned holding enterprises increased by 3.7% year-on-year; that of joint-stock enterprises increased by 6.6%, that of foreign and Taiwan-invested enterprises decreased by 0.3%, and that of private enterprises increased by 7.8%. In May, 38 of the 41 major industries maintained year-on-year growth in value added. Among them, agricultural and sideline food processing industry grew by 4.4%, textile industry by 0.7%, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry by 3.5%, non-metallic mineral products industry by 9.9%, ferrous metal smelting and calendering industry by 11.7%, non-ferrous metal smelting and calendering industry by 9.4%, general equipment manufacturing industry by 2.5%, special equipment manufacturing industry by 4.9%, automobile manufacturing industry by 4.7%, iron industry by 4.7%. Road, ship, aerospace and other transport equipment manufacturing industry grew by 8.3%, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry by 8.8%, computer, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry by 10.6%, and power, thermal production and supply industry by 5.0%. In May, the value added of the eastern region increased by 3.4%, that of the central region by 7.1%, that of the western region by 4.5%, and that of the northeastern region by 0.4%. In May, 325 of 605 products increased year-on-year. Among them, steel 107.4 million tons, an increase of 11.5%; cement 226.96 million tons, an increase of 7.2%; 10 non-ferrous metals 474 million tons, an increase of 2.2%; ethylene 171 million tons, an increase of 14.6%; automobiles 1851,000, a decrease of 21.5%, of which 773,000 cars, a decrease of 23.8%; new energy vehicles 109,000, an increase of 16.0%; electricity generation 558.9 billion kWh a, an increase of 0.2%; crude oil processing capacity 51.9 million tons, an increase of 28%.
In May, the product sales rate of industrial enterprises was 97.7%, which was 0.2 percentage points lower than that of the same period last year. Industrial enterprises realized export delivery value of 997.5 billion yuan, an increase of 0.7% in nominal terms over the same period of last year.
In January-May, the value added of industries above scale increased by 6.0% year on year.
