In June, the purchasing manager index (PMI) of China's manufacturing industry was 49.4%, which was the same as that of last month. The supply and demand sub-index declined slightly, but the decline was narrower than that of last month. In June, the market demand growth slowed down slightly, the production of enterprises kept expanding, the production and operation activities of medium-sized enterprises and small enterprises rebounded, the new momentum development trend was better, and the stable operation of the economy had a foundation.
In June, the PMI of medium-sized enterprises and small enterprises were 49.1% and 48.3% respectively, up 0.3 and 0.5 percentage points from the previous month. The production index of medium-sized enterprises increased by more than 1 percentage point, the internal and external demand of small enterprises improved, and the new export order index increased by more than 3 percentage points. It shows that the vitality of small and medium-sized enterprises has improved, and the growth of production and operation activities has rebounded. In June, PMI of equipment manufacturing industry was 50%, up 0.2 percentage points from last month; PMI of high-tech industry was 51.7%, down 0.4 percentage points from last month, and still in the expansion range. The two indices are 0.6 and 2.3 percentage points higher than the overall level of PMI in manufacturing industry respectively, which shows that the new momentum development trend is good and has a good supporting effect on the stable development of manufacturing industry.
