VOC-painting

Substantive progress has been made in the formulation of the recommended national standard "Technical Requirements for Coatings with Low Volatile Organic Compound Content" which is highly concerned by the industry and related to the future development of the coating industry. In the afternoon of June 27, in order to further promote the formulation of national standards for low VOC coatings products, the China Coatings Industry Association took the lead again, inviting relevant leaders of the Ministry of Ecological Environment and organizing relevant experts to convene the "Recommended National Standard for Coatings with Low Volatile Organic Compounds Content" in Beijing. Technical Requirements Expert Review Conference". After heated discussion, a consensus has been reached. Based on the principle of seeking truth from facts, the adjustment principle for the formulation of the mid-limit of the standard has been given, so as to guide the paint industry to develop high-quality more scientifically.

Director Dong Wenfu, Department of Atmosphere, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Sun Lianying, President of China Coatings Industry Association, Director Yang Jianhai, Standardization Department of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, Secretary-General Tang Ying of National Coatings and Pigments Standardization Committee, Dr. Ning Zhao, Environmental Planning Institute of Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and Expert Committee of China Coatings Industry Association Director Gui Taijiang and other leading guests as well as experts from the paint industry attended the review meeting. Liu Jie, Deputy Secretary-General of China Coatings Industry Association, chaired the meeting. It is reported that after years of deliberation and in accordance with the specific requirements of the Blue Sky Defense War, the formulation of this standard is of great significance. The preparation of the standards is proceeding in an orderly manner according to the preparation plan of the National Standards Committee and is expected to be released before the end of the year. President Sun Lianying said that the formulation of the standard has a high degree of leadership, which has important guiding significance for the future development of the industry, and will lead the industry to a higher quality and higher technology development. Since the pre-research work of this standard started two years ago, the China Coatings Industry Association has attached great importance to it. Experts have been organized in different forms to discuss and improve the formulation of the standard and the determination of the limit standard. It is rare for the formulation of the industry standard to have a large number of participants, a wide range of involvement and a long time span. It is emphasized that the standard is recommended and should be realistic in line with the development requirements of the paint industry. The limit indicators must be leading and advanced. They should be objective and scientific, and can be implemented in practice, so as to guide the sustainable development of the industry more scientifically. Director Dong Wenfu also indicated that the standard should be based on the principles of foresight, encouragement and guidance, and should be positioned at the recommendation level, and the implementation level should not be all-inclusive; moreover, all work should be based on the principle of seeking truth from facts, so that the formulation of standard limits should be both scientific and operable to better quote. High quality and sustainable development of the coating industry.

After discussion and review by the experts attending the meeting, the follow-up work on the formulation of standards is supplemented in the introduction from the basis for the formulation of limit indicators, the relationship with mandatory national standards for the limitation of hazardous substances, the scope of application, terms and definitions of the standards, and the areas not covered. Among them, the formulation of standard limits further clarifies the principles, which is the greatest achievement of the conference, which will provide important help for the smooth introduction of the next standard.
