56 Supermarkets Nationwide, Actual 2022 Chinese New Year Sales Better Than Expected
Recently, the Purchasing Committee of the China Chain Store Association conducted a survey of 56 supermarkets nationwide on actual sales data for the Spring Festival 2022.
The survey showed that the overall actual sales of the Spring Festival were better than expected. Among the 20 major categories of actual sales, the performance of each commodity category varied, and among the categories with a large difference compared to expectations, those that exceeded expectations were mainly aquatic products, alcohol, casual foods, fruits, frozen foods, soy products and knitted bedding.

It is reported that the Measures focus on giving full play to Shenzhen's advantages in innovation, industry and trade, introducing the implementation of the "Brand Gazelle Plan", vigorously developing the "first shop economy" and "first-run economy "The measures aim to enhance Shenzhen's domestic and international attractiveness, focus on gathering global consumption resources and create a "Shenzhen model" for enhancing consumption supply.
Online takeaway to account for over 20% of food and beverage consumption by 2021
Recently, the National Information Centre released the "China Sharing Economy Development Report (2022)". The data shows that the annual sharing economy market transaction scale in 2021 will be about 368.81 billion yuan, an increase of about 9.2% year-on-year; the direct financing scale will be about 213.7 billion yuan, an increase of about 80.3% year-on-year.
In addition, online takeaway revenue accounted for approximately 21.4% of the national restaurant revenue in 2021, an increase of 4.5 percentage points year-on-year.
Yang Guofu files prospectus in Hong Kong
On 22 February, Shanghai Yang Guofu Enterprise Management (Group) Co., Ltd. filed its listing application with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, with CITIC Capital International as its exclusive sponsor. The prospectus shows that Yang Guofu's total revenue for 2019-2020 will be RMB 1.182 billion and RMB 1.114 billion respectively; for the first three quarters of 2021, Yang Guofu's revenue will be RMB 1.163 billion. from 2019 to 2020 and for the first nine months of 2021, Yang Guofu will achieve a profit for the period of RMB 181 million, RMB 169 million and RMB 202 million respectively.
As at 30 September 2021, there were 5,783 restaurants under the Yang Guofu brand. These include 3 self-operated restaurants in Shanghai, 5,759 franchised restaurants across 31 provinces and cities in China, and 21 overseas franchised restaurants in Australia, Canada, Korea, the United States, Japan and Singapore.
