Recently, Bohai Chemical announced that the company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Bohai Petrochemical, was unable to maintain economic production due to the national epidemic and the escalation of epidemic control measures in the downstream customers' locations and surrounding provinces and cities.

The company has decided to suspend the production of Bohai Petrochemical's PDH plant from March 23rd, and to use the suspension period to carry out maintenance work on the equipment.

Bohai Chemical's shutdown is not an isolated case, as many chemical companies have recently announced shutdowns and suspensions due to the epidemic. The company's production has been suspended due to the epidemic, including the Lu Bei Chemical, Shenyang Chemical, Jilin Chemical Fiber and many others.

Lubei Chemical: Due to the recent serious situation of the new Guan epidemic in Binzhou City, in accordance with the requirements of the government's epidemic prevention and control command, the city's personnel and vehicles are controlled and regulated, coupled with the impact of epidemic prevention and control measures in Cangzhou and other surrounding areas, the company's supply of raw and auxiliary materials and product sales were affected.

The former 100,000 tonnes per annum sulphate titanium dioxide production line (the new 100,000 tonnes per annum sulphate titanium dioxide production line of Jinhai Titanium is in normal operation) and the ammonium phosphate production unit of its subsidiary, Sulphur and Phosphorus Technology Company, have been temporarily suspended for maintenance since 21 March.

Shenyang Chemical Industry Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") has temporarily suspended production since March 23, 2022, due to various factors such as the government's epidemic prevention and control requirements, production suspensions and restrictions of major downstream enterprises and cross-regional logistics restrictions. It is expected that this temporary suspension will have a certain impact on the first quarter of 2022.

Shenyang Chemical's main products include caustic soda, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) paste resin, acrylic acid and ester, polyethylene resin, propylene oxide and polyether polyol, which are widely used in many fields such as chemical, metallurgy, light industry, textile, medical, automobile, electronic industry, agriculture and construction.
