30 billion investment! The world's largest Li-ion battery cathode material base is being built in Xiantao
On the morning of March 29th, based on the "New Integration" strategy, Rongbaek Group signed a package of cooperation agreements with Xiantao Municipal People's Government, Wuhan Hanyang District People's Government and Yangtze River Industrial Investment Fund Management Co.
At the same time, the groundbreaking ceremony of Rongbaek Group's Xiantao base was successfully held in Xiantao, Hubei Province.
According to the agreement, Rongbae Group will build an annual capacity of 400,000 tons of lithium battery cathode material manufacturing base in Xiantao; and set up Xiantao Rongchuang One New Energy Partnership (limited partnership) to match the construction of the first phase of annual capacity of 100,000 tons; meanwhile, it will also invest and set up Xiantao Rongbae New Energy Engineering Equipment Company project, Rongbae College project, and set up Battery Triangle Industry Investment Fund.
In addition, Rongbae Group plans to set up the company's central China regional headquarters and the New Energy Technology Research Institute in Hanyang District, Wuhan; and to set up a fund management company and an industrial investment fund in Hanyang District, focusing on investing in projects in the upstream and downstream of new energy and new material-related industries.
Meanwhile, the company will also cooperate with Yangtze River Industrial Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd. to promote the investment layout in Hubei Province, including the above-mentioned projects such as the landing of the regional headquarters in Central China and the world's largest cathode material base, to create a new business model and new business mode for the new energy battery material industry chain.
According to the "New Integration" strategy, Rongbaek Group will plan a global headquarters in Beijing, development bases in Hubei, Guizhou, Zhejiang and Korea, and a global layout radiating from Japan, Europe, America and Southeast Asia. After the signing of the new integration, Rongbaek Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for its Xiantao base, with a total investment of 30 billion yuan and a planned capacity of 400,000 tonnes of cathode materials.

Construction will be completed in three phases. Phase I (annual capacity of 100,000 tonnes) is scheduled to be completed by the end of June 2023, Phase II (annual capacity of 100,000 tonnes) is scheduled to be completed by 2025 and Phase III (annual capacity of 200,000 tonnes) is scheduled to be completed by 2030. After the project reaches full production, the annual sales will reach about 70 billion RMB and create employment opportunities for 5,000 people.

The lithium battery cathode material project in Xiantao City will be the largest cathode material base in the world.
On the same day, Rongbaek also disclosed to the public the pre-proposal of issuing A shares to specific targets in 2022. The number of shares to be issued by the company will not exceed 44,803,763 shares (inclusive), not exceeding 10% of the total share capital of the company before this issue.
The total proceeds from the issue will not exceed RMB6,068 million (inclusive), to be used for lithium cathode materials expansion project (RMB3,489 million), 2025 power lithium materials integrated base phase I project (RMB493 million), engineering equipment phase I project (RMB266 million) and supplementary working capital (RMB1,820 million) after deduction of issue expenses.
