At 11:00 yesterday morning, the wholesale market of agricultural products in Xinliuyong, Guangxi (referred to as "Haijixing Liuzhou"), some businesses were cleaning up the floods caused by the rainstorm the day before, while most businesses had opened their doors, and a large number of fruit thinning, meat and eggs were transported from trucks to their respective businesses. Stores.

Compared with the bustling scenes of other stores, fruit batch stalls seem less prosperous. According to the retailers'feedback, this year's fruit business is difficult to do, the supply is scarce, and the price is on the high side. From Haijixing Liuzhou, we know that it is the season when fruit is on the market in large quantities in summer, but the price is generally on the high side. Among the 33 fruit varieties monitored by Haijixing in Liuzhou yesterday, prices rose 11 times, fell 9 times and remained unchanged 13 times. With cherries and litchis coming off the market in succession, the price has increased. The average wholesale price of Shandong cherries was 18-12 yuan/kg yesterday, up 11% from the same period last year; the average wholesale price of Guangdong white sugar litchi was 8.5 yuan/kg yesterday, up 9.6% from the same period last year. Fruits such as watermelon and grape are the most popular fruits for consumers in summer, and their prices have fallen with the mass market. Among them, the average wholesale price of local watermelon in Guangxi yesterday was 1.7-0.8 yuan/kg, down 13.79% from the same period last year; the average wholesale price of Jufeng grape in Guangxi yesterday was 6-5.2 yuan/kg, down 8.94% from the same period last year.

Consumers in Liuzhou paid attention to apples and pears in the middle of the year from the beginning of the year, and there was no sign of price dropping. Among them, the average wholesale price of Fuji apple in Shaanxi was 9.5-9 yuan/kg yesterday, which was the same as the same year before; the average wholesale price of Yali and Sydney in Hebei was 8 yuan/kg yesterday, which was the same as the same year before.

Forecast for the future:Fruit prices will not fall sharply

For the problem of large-scale fruit market in summer but still high prices, Chen Gang, Director of Liuzhou Fruit Production Office, believes that this is the result of market regulation. The output of fruit in Liuzhou is expected to exceed 1 million tons this year. May-June is the gap period of local fruit. It needs to rely on external transfer. Although a large number of local fruits such as grapes, peaches and plums are on the market in July, because there is less than 100,000 tons of output, it still needs external transfer to meet local fruit consumption demand. Liuzhou citrus fruit accounts for more than 80% of the local fruit production. The early maturing citrus will be on the market from August to September, which will relieve the pressure of some fruit sales. However, with the continuous rainy weather in the first half of this year, the output of citrus fruit will decline. It is not expected that the price of citrus fruit will fall sharply this year. Liu Feiyu, manager of fruit and vegetable Department of Guangxi Xinliuyong Agricultural Products Wholesale Market Co., Ltd., believes that the high price of fruits is not only affected by climate, but also because of the higher cost of transportation, which increases the cost of fruit purchasing and makes it difficult for the price of fruits to fall for a while.
