China's automobile industry started in the 1950s. Chairman Mao visited the Soviet Union after the founding of New China. In January 1950, when he visited Stalin Automobile Factory, Chairman Mao said to his comrades, "We also need such factories." The construction of the First Automobile Manufacturing Plant has become one of the key industrial construction projects of the Soviet Union's assistance and the First Five-Year Plan. Chairman Mao personally planned and made decisions. In June 1953, he issued the Directive of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Striving to Build Changchun Automobile Factory for Three Years. He also wrote down the inscription "The Foundation Laying Memorial of the First Automobile Manufacturing Factory" (see Figure 1) and named the new car "Jiefang Brand" Paint Online Coatingol.com. After three years of design and preparation, the foundation of FAW was laid in 1953. With the support of the people of the whole country and the assistance of the Soviet Union, the first Liberation Brand automobile opened its assembly line on July 13, 1956, thus ending the history that China could not manufacture automobiles. China's car industry started in 1957. According to the spirit of Chairman Mao's report "On Ten Relations" in April 1956, when can we get on the car produced by ourselves, the first engine Department officially gave small production to the automobile factory in May 1957. The task of the car and put forward the requirement of "the sooner the better". From 1958 to 1959, a loud slogan was spread in FAW: Take the "East Wind" and display the "Red Flag" to make a high-class car to meet Chairman Mao. FAW General Mobilization, in May 1958, built the Dongfeng sedan. On the afternoon of May 21, Chairman Mao and Linboqu drove around the garden in a car and said happily, "We've got our own car." In August of the same year, FAW completed the trial production of "Red Flag" high-grade cars and put them into mass production before the 10th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Before the Eleventh National Day, the first batch of 30 high-class cars and 2 inspection cars were sent to Beijing to change trains for the head of the central government and be inspected. During the same period, Beiqi produced "Jinggangshan" sedan and SAIC produced "Phoenix" intermediate sedan. After national economic adjustment, two car production bases in Changchun and Shanghai were formed in the early 1960s. The production capacity of "Red Flag" high-class sedan (see Fig. 2) and Shanghai middle-class sedan was very small, with only 1,000 left cars per year.

The first 30 years of hard start-up development: Compared with the Japanese automobile industry which started at the same time in China, the development of China's automobile industry in the first 30 years was extremely slow; the products and models were made consistently for 30 years, the color of topcoat was single, and the Second Automobile Company was built in the 1970s, and the annual output of automobiles in China was only 125,000 by 1977. Reasons for difficult development: lack of development funds (backward and poor basic industries); blockade, embargo in the West and the breakdown of the Sino-Soviet alliance in the latter period, and Prejudice in understanding (e.g., regarding cars as "luxury goods"; adopting a policy of non-support for the car industry; determining car production by road and oil production instead of promoting each other). Relations) and the lack of market competitiveness of the planned economy. Fourty years after the rapid development of China's automobile industry: 40 years of reform and opening-up are the 40 years of rapid development of China's automobile industry. Since 1980, the door of our country has been opened and technology exchanges between domestic and foreign countries have been frequent. In 1987, the spring of developing car industry was ushered in, and "market for technology and capital" was established. Joint venture was adopted to develop car industry, which resulted in three "blowout" developments in China's car industry in the past 20 years. Since 2009, China has become the world's largest producer and seller for 10 consecutive years (nearly 30 million vehicles per year in 2018), and the automobile industry has become the real pillar industry of the national economy. Cars enter ordinary people's families and embellish cities and villages, laying a good foundation for building a well-off society, realizing modern civilization and living (moving) and working happily. Automobile products are no longer the same system for decades. There are dozens of new products (models) and colors on the market every year. Topcoats have various colors (metallic flash, pearl and various natural colors), which can catch up with fashion trends and meet the needs of personalization. With the development of automotive industry, the automotive painting and coating industry has been growing at the same time. OEM automotive coating has undergone five updates.
