A Number of Styrene Factories Reduce The Load And Stop
At present, the domestic spot price of styrene is around 9,700 CNY/ton, and the cash flow loss of non-integrated styrene units is 400-500 CNY/ton. Affected by the current domestic epidemic, the price of styrene has fallen from 10,100 CNY/ton to 9,700 CNY/ton, and the current styrene market has strong support.
First of all, styrene itself suffered serious losses, and the willingness to start domestic factories was sluggish. Since June last year, the cash flow loss of the non-integrated styrene factory has been in the range of 200-600 yuan, and there is almost no profitable time node. As a result, the styrene factory has 1.6 million tons of idle production capacity and is unwilling to produce styrene.
Secondly, judging from the price difference between internal and external disks, the price of styrene in China is 1,000 US dollars lower than that of Europe, and 700 US dollars lower than that of the United States. China's styrene export window has always been open. After the Spring Festival, styrene is frequently exported, and the export volume may be In the 20-30 million tons, and this number is still rising.
Therefore, from the perspective of cost support and the support of internal and external profits, the support of the styrene market is relatively strong.
