Cement output in the first half of the year increased by 6.8%

On July 31, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) released the operation of building materials industry in the first half of 2019. The details are as follows. In the first half of the year, the national cement output increased by 6.8% over the same period of last year, and decreased by 0.6% over the same period of last year. The output of commercial concrete increased by 13.6% to 103.191 million cubic meters, and the growth rate dropped by 4.4 percentage points over the same period of last year. The output of flat glass was 46.21.7 million weight boxes, up 6.8%, down 0.9% in the same period last year.
Compared with last month, the price of cement has fallen and the price of flat glass has risen. In June, the average price of P.O42.5 bulk cement in the national market was 448 CNY/ton, down 1.5% from the previous month and up 3.7% from the previous month. The average ex-factory price of flat glass (original) is 63 yuan per weight box, which is 0.8% higher than that of last month and 5.2% lower than that of last month.
