China's drug terminal market sold 908.7 billion yuan in the first half

According to the Blue Paper on the Development of China's Pharmaceutical Market in 2019, published by Minet, a data information service platform in the field of medicine and health on August 14, the sales volume of China's pharmaceutical terminal market in the first half of 2019 was 908.7 billion yuan, an increase of 5.8% over the same period of last year. Intranet divides Chinese drug terminals into three major terminals. In terms of the proportion of the three terminals in drug sales, public hospitals, as the first terminal, accounted for 67.0% in the first half of 2019, followed by retail pharmacy terminals consisting of physical pharmacies and online pharmacies, accounting for 23.1%. The proportion of public primary medical terminals consisting of two markets, city community health service centers and township health centers, was 9.9%. The above blue paper shows that in recent years, the development of Chinese pharmaceutical industry has been improving as a whole due to the deepening of the aging of the Chinese population, the acceleration of the upgrading of health consumption, the development of major health industries and the driving forces of relevant pharmaceutical industry policies. However, in the market environment of intensified competition, with the deepening of medical reform, the acceleration of policy measures such as zero-plus drug, centralized drug procurement, and the deepening of structural adjustment of transformation and upgrading of the pharmaceutical industry, China's pharmaceutical industry has entered a state of overall slowdown in growth. Zhang Buyong, chief researcher of Minet, introduced that in the first half of 2019, the sales of Chinese drug terminal market increased by 5.8% to 908.7 billion yuan, while in the first half of 2018, the sales of Chinese drug terminal market increased by 6.9% to 859 billion yuan, which slowed down year after year from 2011 to 2019.
"The growth of public hospitals in cities at the first terminal has slowed down obviously, and the growth of drug sales in county-level public hospitals is still faster than that in city-level public hospitals, but its growth rate is also declining year by year. In the first half of 2018, drug sales in county-level public hospitals were 154.1 billion yuan, an increase of 92.2 billion yuan over the same period of last year. In the first half of 2019, it was 164.4 billion yuan, an increase of 6.7% over the same period last year. Introduction of Zhang Buyong.
"The sales volume of online pharmacy market is increasing, but the growth rate is also declining. In the first half of 2018, the sales volume of online pharmacy market is 5 billion yuan, the growth rate is 42.5%, and in the first half of 2019, it is 7 billion yuan, the growth rate is 40.6%. Zhang said that although the growth rate of terminal sales continued to slow down, the pharmaceutical industry from management to production and then to sales has gradually rationalized, and the industry shuffling and emerging new situation is also beginning to dawn.
