Dyeing Fees to Increase After Tax on Environmental Protection Implemented
Environmental Protection Tax Law passed in December 2016 will be implemented as of Jan 1 2018. The value of environmental protection tax is established based on existing standard of pollutant discharge fees. Eg. Tax on air pollutants is 1.2-12yuan per equivalent weight, that on water pollutants 1.4-14, solid waste 5-1,000yuan/mt and noise 350-11,200yuan per month.
Take medium-sized printing and dyeing mills with annualproduction value of RMB50 million as an example. Tax paid for air pollutants annually will accumulate to 60,000-120,000yuan, that for water pollutants to 80,000-150,000yuan, that for solid wastes like sawdust, dust and chemical waste to around 150,000-300,000yuan and that for noise to 5000-20,000yuan/month. Annual tax of a medium-sized printing and dyeing mill paid for environmental protection will total 300,000-700,000yuan.
As a result, cost for environmental protection of dyeing and printing mills will surge after implementation of environmental protection tax law on Jan 1 2018, which may lead to large increase of dyeing fees.
