Wang Shouwen, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce and deputy representative of international trade negotiations, said at the State Council's regular policy briefing held by the State Council on September 29 that China's structure of attracting foreign investment has been continuously optimized, with the utilization of foreign capital in high-tech industries accounting for 30% of the total utilization of foreign capital, and large projects accounting for a relatively high proportion. According to Wang Shouwen, from January to September this year, China's utilization of foreign capital has reached US $100.8 billion, an increase of 2.9% year on year. Major projects above US $50 million increased by 12.6% year on year. According to a recent EU business confidence report released by the European Chamber of Commerce in China, more than 60% of enterprises regard China as their preferred place for future investment. A survey of China's business environment conducted by the American Chamber of Commerce in China also reflects that more than 60% of US funded enterprises in China regard China as one of the three preferred places for future investment.
