China's foreign investment in October increased by 5.9% year on year

Data released today by the Ministry of Commerce shows that in the first 10 months of this year, China's foreign investment increased by 5.9% year-on-year, with steady progress in foreign investment cooperation. According to the data from January to October this year, Chinese domestic investors have made non-financial direct investment in 164 countries and regions in the world, accumulatively realizing the investment amount of 621.78 billion yuan, up 5.9% year on year.

In October, Chinese enterprises increased investment in 56 countries along the "one belt and one road" area, and the total amount of new contracts signed by the countries along the "one belt and one road" amount to US $112 billion 170 million, accounting for 63.5% of the total amount of the same period. China's foreign investment structure has been continuously optimized, and irrational investment has been effectively curbed. From January to October, 60% of foreign investment flows to leasing and trade services, manufacturing, wholesale and retail industries. There are no new projects for foreign investment in the real estate, sports and entertainment industries.
