Wuda District: high end fine chemicals support the industrial transformation

In early winter, the weather is getting cold, but the production workshop of Cabot Hengye into high performance materials (Inner Mongolia) Co., Ltd. in Wuda Industrial Park, Wuhai City is a hot production scene. With the roar of machines, a bag of fumed silica has left the automatic production line. Not far from the production line, a truck full of fumed silica is ready to be shipped. These products are about to be shipped to East China. "Since it was officially put into production in September, the product order has been in short supply. At present, the safety and environmental protection facilities are operating normally, and we are fully producing." Zheng Lijun, general manager of the company, said. It is understood that the project adopts the advanced technology of Cabot company of the United States, and makes full use of the by-product of Inner Mongolia Hengye into silicone Co., Ltd. to produce high-value-added high-performance material fumed silica.
The project has the characteristics of high technology content, low resource consumption, small environmental pollution and good economic benefits. "The reason why enterprises settled in Wuda District is that they saw the advantages of resources and industrial chain here." Said Zheng Lijun. Wuhai City and its adjacent areas are rich in resources, coal char and chlor alkali industries are concentrated, providing raw materials for the project production, such as industrial silicon and methanol, which not only saves the production cost, but also consumes a large number of by-products of local chemical enterprises, turning waste into treasure, and achieving win-win economic and environmental benefits. In recent years, Wuda District, taking advantage of its unique advantages and taking differentiated development as its path, has established the development goal of building a demonstration base for the production of pesticides and pharmaceuticals, vigorously developed high-end fine chemicals, and actively led the transformation and upgrading of regional industrial economy. A large number of high-end fine chemical projects have been successively introduced, such as Dongyuan technology 1,4-butanediol, Hengye organic silicon, jiaruimi ammonium phosphine, Cabot silicon dioxide, Yichang Xingfa organic silicon glyphosate integration project, etc. By 2018, the high-end fine chemical industry in the area has accumulated an investment of 15.41 billion yuan.
The proportion of non coal industry in Wuda District also increased from 47% in 2008 to 79.1% at present. In order to provide high-quality supporting services for these high-end fine chemical enterprises, Wuda District continues to increase investment in the park's infrastructure construction. Based on the traditional supporting facilities in the park, a total of 2 billion yuan of high-level planning and construction of steam, natural gas pipeline network and specialized fine chemical sewage treatment plant and other facilities have been invested, and the first complete supporting Park of fine chemical infrastructure in the autonomous region has been preliminarily built. In order to develop fine chemical industry, we must pay more attention to environmental protection, only to achieve recycling can we achieve zero regional emissions. At present, Wuda District, represented by Junzheng, Yihua, Dongyuan and Hengye, has realized a small cycle within the enterprise; some by-products of enterprises in the park are raw materials for each other, forming a medium cycle among enterprises; main raw materials required by high-end fine chemical enterprises can be purchased in surrounding industrial parks, forming a large cycle among parks. In addition, the region regards innovation driven as an important engine of transformation and development, and actively guides enterprises to improve their capability of independent innovation, and promotes the transformation of pillar industries to intensive processing, and leverages "Internet +" to jointly upgrade the upgrading of industries.
Today, Wuda District has 9 autonomous region level research centers, 3 autonomous region level enterprise research institutes, 34 application for invention patents and utility model technologies, 86 scientific and technological innovation, 76 technological innovation, 47 scientific and technological achievements appraisal, and international first-class enterprises, research institutes and park enterprises such as DuPont, China Chengda, Tsinghua University, Tianjin University, etc. have reached a fixed scientific and technological cooperation relationship. In September 7, 2018, the Northwest Chemical Network settled in the Wuda area was formally launched, and the "Internet +" wings for the chemical enterprises here were launched. The platform effectively combines finance and science and technology, helps enterprises to online the original offline trade, effectively reduces the circulation cost of enterprises, improves efficiency and quality, and realizes the integration of information flow, capital flow, logistics and business flow.
