The 20th China International Maritime Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as "Maritime Exhibition") opened in Shanghai. On December 2, Li Yanqing, director of the International Department of China Shipping Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Shipping Group"), said at the press conference of the maritime exhibition that the group would display the aircraft carrier Liaoning, LNG ship and domestic large-scale cruise ship model representing three bright pearls of China shipbuilding on the same platform for the first time at the Maritime Exhibition. During the exhibition, China Shipbuilding Group will sign dozens of contracts with customers at home and abroad for shipbuilding supporting products, with a total order amount of 30 billion yuan, Li said. According to Li Yanqing, this is the first appearance of China Shipping Group since its unveiling. The group will have 63 member companies, including ship building and repairing enterprises, design and research units, supporting enterprises and ship leasing companies, with a total exhibition area of 3900 square meters.

China shipbuilding group is a joint reorganization of the former China Shipbuilding Industry Group Co., Ltd. and the former China Shipbuilding Industry Group Co., Ltd. On November 26, China Shipping Group officially unveiled. The newly established China shipbuilding group consists of 147 research institutes, enterprises and listed companies, with a total assets of 790 billion yuan and 310000 employees. It is the largest shipbuilding group in the world. According to Li Yanqing, at present, both the orders in hand and the orders for new ships of China shipbuilding group are the first in the world. In the first ten months of this year, according to the three shipbuilding indicators, China's shipbuilding completion, new orders and hand-held orders accounted for 37.1%, 41.8% and 44.1% of the world market share, respectively, and continued to lead the world. However, the number of new ship orders was 21.19 million dwt, down 25.6% year on year; as of the end of October, the number of hand-held orders was 78.87 million dwt, down 7.7% year on year.

At the meeting, the chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Chinese side of the Maritime Exhibition and the president of Shanghai Society of ship and Marine Engineering said that due to factors such as the tension of Global trade relations and the turbulence of geopolitical situation, the recovery momentum of the global maritime market has weakened, and the international ship market continues to be in a period of deep adjustment. In the short term, it is difficult to fundamentally alleviate the global overcapacity and shipbuilding overcapacity. In recent years, the ship market has been in a downturn, and major enterprises have increased technical reserves and expanded cooperation to hold a group for heating, but luxury cruise is the hot spot of the ship market. In this maritime exhibition, more than 250 cruise assembly and supporting enterprises such as China Shipping Group and China Merchants Industrial Group Co., Ltd. brought relevant exhibits of luxury cruise. According to Macquarie, chairman of the foreign Organizing Committee of the Maritime Exhibition, this year's exhibition has set up a new cruise interior decoration section, which is the first exhibition focusing on cruise interior design and outfitting in Asia. The Maritime Exhibition is jointly organized by Shanghai Society of ship and marine engineering and information markets. The exhibition covers an area of more than 90000 square meters, with 2200 enterprises from more than 30 countries and regions participating in the exhibition. Among them, Italy's fincantini group participated for the first time.
