Water based paint process transformation project of FAW car

The project will use the original coating workshop of a factory to upgrade the equipment to meet the requirements of water-based paint spraying; add internal and external spraying robots to realize automatic spraying of the whole vehicle. It is one of the necessary conditions for car admittance that "middle coat and top coat should be water-based car paint". Therefore, FAW car decided to upgrade the water paint property of the coating line. The proposed project of FAW car will use the existing painting production line in the painting workshop to transform the production line of intermediate coat and finish coat. New pre drying room for intermediate coating, new flash drying room for metal primer, new and improved painting robot.

Upgrade the existing production line and add some new equipment to meet the demand of water-based paint; dismantle the original carbon dioxide fire-fighting system and reset the high-pressure water mist fire-fighting system; add the VOCs treatment system of paint exhaust gas; design the new main and branch pipes. The first painting workshop is located in the first factory area of FAW Car Co., Ltd., which is connected with the welding workshop in the north and the welding workshop in the East, and connected with the general assembly workshop through the corridor. The production capacity of the existing workshop is 140000 vehicles per year. This time, the existing painting production line of the first painting workshop is used to carry out water-based paint transformation, with the total production capacity unchanged and the painting working time base of 1790h / A. The coating efficiency is 95%, the total coating area is about 4.46 × 107m2, the film thickness is about 20 μ m, and the dry film density is 1.3g/cm3. FAW Car Co., Ltd. was founded in 1997.
