The main economic indicators in November were better than expected
The Information Office of the State Council held a press conference on the morning of the 16th. The National Bureau of statistics introduced the operation of China's national economy in November. Data shows that the main economic indicators of the month were better than expected, and the national economy maintained a steady and progressive trend. In terms of industry, in November, the added value of industries above designated size increased by 6.2% year-on-year, 1.5 percentage points higher than that of last month, and the added value of emerging industries such as high-tech manufacturing industry and equipment manufacturing industry continued to accelerate. From the perspective of investment, from January to November, China's fixed asset investment was 53371.8 billion yuan, up 5.2% year on year, the growth rate was the same as that from January to October. Investment in high-tech industries continued to grow, while investment in education, culture, ecological protection, environmental governance and other short board areas grew rapidly. In terms of consumption, in November, the total retail sales of social consumer goods reached 3809.4 billion yuan, up 8.0% year-on-year, 0.8 percentage points faster than that of last month, the growth rate of market sales accelerated, and the proportion of online retail sales of physical goods continued to increase. In addition, the employment situation was generally stable. In the first 11 months, 12.79 million new jobs were created in cities and towns across the country, 116.3% of the annual target. In November, the unemployment rate of 31 cities and towns was 5.1%, which was the same as that of last month. Fu Linghui, spokesman of the National Bureau of Statistics: in November, in the face of the complex situation of significantly rising risks and challenges at home and abroad, all departments in various regions adhered to the general tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability, and promoted high-quality development with supply side structural reform as the main line.
