In December, the prosperity index of logistics industry fell slightly

ECHEMI 2020-01-10

China Federation of logistics and purchasing released today that China's logistics industry prosperity index in December 2019 was 58.6%, down 0.3 percentage points from last month; China's warehousing index was 52.5%, down 1.9 percentage points from last month. He Hui, director of China Logistics Information Center, believes that although the logistics industry boom index fell slightly in December, it is still operating in a high boom range, reflecting the active upstream and downstream economic activities in the supply chain. In terms of different industries, all industries are operating in the boom zone. Affected by the gradual release of demand for e-commerce promotion capacity, the index of loading and unloading and other transportation services and postal express industry slightly fell, and the growth rate slowed down. In terms of varieties, the logistics activities of bulk commodities for production and construction such as steel, nonferrous metals and building materials are more active; the logistics demand of consumer goods such as clothing, daily necessities and agricultural and sideline products related to people's livelihood is increasing. Near the end of the year, logistics activities are still active, but there is a gap between supply and demand of temporary logistics personnel before the festival. The employee index fell 0.5 percentage points from last month to 52.2%. From the perspective of the trend in the later period, the new order index and the expected index of business activities are 56.8% and 56.2% respectively, maintaining a high level of prosperity, reflecting the overall good market expectation of the enterprise in the later period, but still focusing on the logistics demand and employees of related industries in the first quarter of this year.
